Org Unit Allocation Reporting in Namely Analytics
For clients using Namely's org units and allocations feature, we’ve released a number of updates to Analytics to surface employee allocation data in your dashboards.
For clients who use Namely’s org units with allocations feature, we’ve released a number of updates to Analytics to surface employee allocation data in your dashboards.
Allocations Dashboard
The new Allocations dashboard displays how your employees are allocated across departments, divisions, and office locations.
Easy-to-read charts show you how many employees are allocated to specific org units. You can filter each chart by employee type to only display a specific type of employee (full time, freelance, etc.).
Drill down to specific employees to see what percent they’re allocated to their assigned org units.
Allocations Data in Other Dashboards
We’ve updated our other Analytics dashboards to include allocations data, too.
-
Filters now respect multiple org unit assignments of the same type. If you have an employee who is allocated across multiple departments, for example, and you filter your dashboards for either of those departments, the employee will be included in the results.
-
Point-in-time reports take into account the dates on which an employee was assigned (or removed) from an org unit, and will display all assignments an employee was allocated across on the specific date you’ve filtered for.
-
Analytics permissions have been updated. If a user is allocated across two departments, for example, and has their Analytics permissions set to only show data for employees in their same department, they will be able to see data for anyone who is either fully or partially assigned to either of the departments.
Other Updates
We’ve removed filters for department, division, and office location from the Time Off Request, Salary, and Salary Changes dashboards, as there is no clear link between a time off request, a salary, or a salary change and an org unit when an employee is allocated to multiple org units.
Additionally:
-
The Time Off Request dashboard no longer includes Time Off Type by Department and Time Off Type by Office Location, for the same reasons addressed above.
-
The Salary dashboard no longer includes Department Name or Division Name columns, for the same reasons addressed above.
-
The Salary dashboard now includes a Median Salary section.
-
The Salary Changes dashboard will only include data from rehired employees’ most recent tenure.
-
The Job Changes dashboard will now only filter by primary department, division, and office location assignments.
-
In the Job Changes dashboard, job renames (such as VP to vice president) will no longer be surfaced as a job change.
